SILVER STAR NATION: Cowboys offense needs fixing

NFL Dallas

Wednesday, the Dallas Cowboys players will begin fixing what needs to be fixed as they start preparing for their Sunday night date with the New York Giants.

The Silver Star Nation’s Mickey Spagnola breaks down some of the issues facing the Dallas offense following their 16-8 season opening loss at the Carolina Panthers.

“First and foremost, the execution has to pick up.  Because you can’t just let the team know, the defense know that, ah it’s second and 17, I bet they’re not handing the ball off to Zeke.  We’ll just pin our ears back and go after the quarterback.  So that’s the first and foremost thing that they have to clean up because they basically wasted the first five possessions of the game against Carolina.  The fifth one being when Dak finally had an opportunity to hit a pass down the field to Blake Jarwin.  He didn’t set his feet and he came up short.  So five possessions came out hollow.  Gotta do a better job than that.”

So it’ll be a pair of 0-1 teams facing off Sunday at Jerry’s World when the Giants come in for an NFC East showdown.  It airs on NBC’s Sunday Night Football and kicks off at 7:20pm.
