Wednesday, the Memorial Stadium turf filled up with 1st and 2nd graders from Zundy Elementary.
While they were there, they got a chance to work out with the Wichita Falls Nighthawks.
The Zundy Administration asked the Nighthawks if they could entertain the students while the other students were taking the STAAR test.
The Nighthawks were glad to oblige.
“It is great we are our community. So our first priority is to help people out and to bring good football and it starts right here with the kids,” said Wichita Falls Nighthawks Defensive End Rickey Simpson
The Wichita Falls Nighthawks hit the field this Saturday night taking on the Colorado Ice.
Kickoff from the Kay Yeager Coliseum is set for 7 p.m.
For the game Saturday, the Food Bank will receive a $5 donation for every ticket they sell to the Nighthawks game!
They are selling the group tickets for $5 and the Nighthawks will then donate $5 back to the organization.
The Food Bank will also have their truck on hand Saturday for food donations.
