Rangers First Baseman Prince Fielder who is flying back to Texas to undergo a sleep study and will miss at least three games.
“Prince had gone about his job where I had not noticed a whole lot. When you’re an athlete, I know when I played I never had those type of issues so I’m sure that’s a little bit concerning. We’ll get him checked out and get him right,” says Rangers manager, Jeff Banister.
The Rangers also want starting pitcher Yu Darvish right. He’s recovering from elbow surgery. Darvish threw about 20 pitches in a bullpen session today.
Second baseman Rougned Odor was scratched yesterday with an abdominal strain and he’s being limited in workouts, not swinging a bat today. Banister says, “We’ll be conservative. I don’t foresee a lot of concerns. We want to make sure whatever it is calms down and he gets his treatment and get him out there to work and be prepared and not have any setbacks.”
